I think this was cute af but like... this is more than a bit reminiscent of Gilmore Girls

Just to get it out of the way, the writing style was funny and captivating, and I found myself laughing out loud multiple times throughout! Though I swear if I had to read the term "keyed up" one more time, I was going to explode. That was so overused. At least 6-7 times that I remember.

While I loved the main characters together, there was a lot of insta-love, and the mmc made me needlessly annoyed multiple times. But he was so sweet otherwise 🥹 like a more shy and sensitive Luke Danes but with Jackson's job

The FMC had more regular/totally understandable issues, and she didn't really annoy me. I loved her quirks tbh! Felt more realistic. I just I wish I knew where her insecurity about being "too much" came from because it just didn't seem to have any backstory. Actually, now I think about it this whole thing is starting to sound more and more like the Lorelai x Luke x Rachel debacle lol.. iykyk

Tbh, this is what's annoying me most. This book is almost *too* Gilmore Girls-ish. It's like a fanfic of Gilmore Girls with a few other side quests

It was funny, it was cute, it was cozy, but I can't really rate it higher with these things
