The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco

I continue to enjoy Tea's story, both past and present. I am admittedly not fond of books that go back and forth between past and present, but I'll tolerate them if the story is rich and well-written. The series is both for me thus far, though I did have to backtrack a few times to make sure I hadn't missed something. I found a few events slightly confusing, which had to do with wording. Otherwise, I think the plot is well constructed--with Tea telling her story to Bard while she finishes her quest. I loved the fact that Tea's relationships with Kance and Kalen feel more realistic and that she has the wherewithal to understand the difference between love and a passing fancy.
