Night School by Lee Child
4.0

I'm burning through audio books because I got like 5 of them that all became available at the same time from the library.

This was a really good Reacher book. It has several of the touchstones and earmarks that you can expect, but it presented everything very well.

The timetable is pretty clear once things really start moving, and the pacing is very well handled.
It's also nice to see characters that react in ways that make sense for their professions. People in the Intelligence Community react to things in way that make sense for their positions. They realize their mistakes very quickly and act to fix those mistakes as quickly as possible.

Overall I really liked this. I like the books where you get to see Reacher have a purpose right from the start. He doesn't have to figure out if something is going on, he's presented with the problem outright and told to solve it. I like that kind of focus from this character. Lee Child has woken 21 of these and their still holding up pretty well. That gives me hope for 22.
