This book didn’t have the same impact for me that malice did. I think most of the character development that we saw within malice was almost completely reversed within misrule and overall there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of direction. The pacing at some points was very good but at others seemed rushed. I really wanted to like this book but it just missed the mark for me. I think that only reading malice and leaving it at a cliffhanger would have made the story a more compelling read.
