Blood Line by Lynda La Plante
2.0
I chose this book because I loved the Prime Suspect series (TV) and wanted to try out some Lynda LaPlante.
It reads as if it were written 20 years ago. The attitudes about everything from workplace sexual harassment from a former lover (and now boss) to a homosexual co-worker seemed to be a bit outdated.
The procedural part of this was fine. A decent whodunnit though with a lot of unnecessary explanation of the finer bits. The characters were wooden and two dimensional - hard to relate to or like much.
It was what I imagine it's like reading Barbara Cartland's 73rd romance novel - I get that she is good at what she does, but maybe stuck in her time a bit.
