I really liked this series. I did find it extremely annoying that the main character went through many, many bouts of stupidity. I didn't find those moments exciting or suspenseful, they just pissed me off. I felt like there were many scenes and chapters that were there just to drag the book out and make it longer.
I was disappointed in the ending. There were too many huge plot points that weren't resolved. I'm not sure if this was intentional for further books, or if the author just got bored and couldn't figure out how to wrap everything up, and just ended it.
That being said, I would still recommend this series. They read like a movie. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see them made into films in the future.
