Moon by Laurann Dohner
5.0

Pretty much read this series as one a day. This one was really good.

Moon has been drugged and it seems to not be wearing off like the breeding drugs did. This is stronger than those drugs and he is totally feral. Justice and company decide to bring in his old psychologist from when he was first released and entered into society through the military. There the psychologists were highly monitored and told to have no contact with the Species. At that time, Species were new and an unknown. 466 or Moon was very interested in the psychologist but she was stand offish because of her job and the ethics involved, she finally had to just quit because he was so adamant.

Years later, as soon as the NSO calls and asks for Joy's help, she agrees readily and comes as a friend. She has never forgotten 466 and wants to see him and help. Moon recognized no one, not his friends and not Joy but he seems to calm and respond to her. This is the start of his recovery and their reconnecting.

Ellora's Cave is slightly cheaper than Amazon currently and it is only available in ebook at this time.
