The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy
3.0

A story about rescuing people in danger and smuggling them across the channel in small boats. Its just a shame that this story was told from the perspective of the elites - why are we on the side of aristocracy and the rich fleeing from democracy? It also highlights how pervasive anti-semitism was in the early part of the 20th century. A book that I really wanted to like, but gosh, the author makes it hard for us.
