I started this book in hard copy last summer but only got halfway through before returning to the library. I finally checked out the audio version to finish it. I was worried I wouldn’t remember the plot line but found myself re-immersed quickly, as the characters and story are so vivd. Really enjoyed how she weaves the country’s political narrative over the generations of the family and the continued callbacks to earlier characters.
