Talking to Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede

4.0

Whelp, I've reached the end of the series, and I'm sure gonna miss this rag-tag group of adventurers. Even though this book was written in 1990, long before it ever became the 4th book in the series, it ties in really well with the first three, which were written years later.

The 3rd book was definitely a drag, but it's necessary to understand what's going on in this book. I can't imagine reading this back in 1990, before the prequels...I would imagine there were a lot of unanswered questions.

Overall, I enjoyed how the story wrapped up, and I would definitely recommend this for elementary-aged children who love fairytales and adventure. So glad I stumbled upon this series from a friend's review. I have no idea how I've gone this long without coming across this series before!
