Make Your Play by Cali Melle
5.0
Cali Melle scored all the goals with Make Your Play. I am loving the Aston Archers hockey world and can't wait for more. The tropes will catch your attention, but Nash and Riley will keep it from beginning to end.
Mutual pining is one of my favorite tropes and Cali Melle wrote it so well with these two. When Riley finds herself pregnant and facing an insurance dilemma, Nash comes to her rescue and offers to marry her so she has good coverage for her and the baby (that is not his). Their feelings get harder to hide, and fake becomes real in such a sweet and heartwarming way, and their chemistry is off the carts. The "my wife" vibe gets me every time and Nash didn't hesitate on that energy.
When a man accepts another mans baby as his own you can't help but fall in love. Nash was willing to do whatever it took to keep Riley and their baby boy forever. These two were meant to be end game all along. Even if took them a while to get to HEA, their journey was chef's kiss.
