For the Sake of Elena
by Elizabeth George
Lynley and Havers investigate the murder of a deaf student jogger in Cambridge. This plot has many red herrings, making it difficult for the reader to know what is pertinent to the crime. George moves her characters' lives forward a bit more in this novel, resolving some untidy issues from the previous book. I continue to work through the series...despite the lack of interest in the mysteries themselves...because I like the characters and care about them.
