I had to get used to understanding the fig tree narrator but I got used to it. The story itself is really good. I think it was interesting to combine the elements of Cyprus history, a star crossed love story, a fig tree narrator, and a recovering family. Very gripping and offers some thought provoking views about nature, grief, love, war, and history.
