Ingest Me by Lesley A. Camphouse

Lesley, bish is you okay because WTF did you write?!
This is a 55-page short story that took me 3 days to finish. I had to stop reading so many times because it's soo disgusting and fucked up on soo many levels.
I don't even know how to classify this. Extreme Horror? Extremely Disturbing? I felt like I was committing a crime by reading it?! I feel like an accomplice to crimes that I should be beaten to death for!
Also, during one of my breaks, I saw this book on a Tik Tok video featuring the MOST DISTURBING BOOKS according to readers. And I was like YUP this one deserves to be on that list.
Based on the title, I ASSumed this was a book about cannibalism. Don't ask me why I was okay with cannibalism, but I draw the line at incels who feed their mom and baby sister their toenails and boogers.
In a nutshell this story follows this kid Tristen. YES, a minor a fucking minor. At the age of 9 or 10, his mom has a baby girl with her POS boyfriend and leaves Tristian feeling replaced and angry. He turns to the interweb for support where he finds an incel forum.
Ya'll, I'm going to recap all of it for you because I don't think anyone should read this. This is one of those, I read this book, so you don't have to moments.
The incel group is crazy af. The behavior and thought process of these men is scary. It made me think of 101 True Crime cases I've seen in real life.
Tristen is relieved to learn that women are beneath him and their only purpose is to be used and abused by men. Since Tristen is a minor, he is unable to be an alpha and pull rank on his mama or her boyfriend so he does the next best thing he can.
He volunteers to take over cooking and feeds them his nasty bits. All body fluids, dead skin, basically anything he can get off or out of himself is going into their food and he sits back pleased.
Tristian's behavior becomes more dangerous as he grows and at the edge of 18 with the encouragement from the forum, he becomes a fking physically abusive rapist.
I had to put this book down soo many times, I wanted to vomit, scream, and cry. I know this is fiction, but all fiction is influenced by some sort of truth and I could only imagine what tf goes on in those incel chats based on the crimes that have been committed by that "community". Fking small dick wack jobs SMH
As a reader I had to trust that we would see karma kick in and something happen to Tristian. I was not wrong; I actually cheered when he got his. Then was shook that this mfers seemed to catch a second wind.
There is a second story coming out at the end of this month. And that one focuses on cannibalism. I hate myself for saying this. While I'm not counting the days for its release, I will likely read it because I'm committed, and I need to know how this story plays out for all parties.
Rating this book was so hard because it was well written. The author was incredibly descriptive. She took dark and uncomfortable subject matter and made readers squirm.
While I ended up giving this three stars for the quality, I couldn't give it a 4th star. For me that means I really liked the book. Ummm I didn't REALLY LIKE shit in this book.
At no point was I like OMG I want this to live rent free in my head. NOPE, maybe for others but not me.
With that said the author has talent and I hate myself for feeling compelled to read it and to go back to the list of disgusting reads for recs because the horror and gore fan in me is intrigued.
