Say Yes to the Marquess by Tessa Dare
5.0
If you had told me I would be reading historical romance this time last year I would have laughed. But here I am, completely and utterly obsessed with Tessa Dare. If you enjoy historical settings, strong female characters and romance (and a tad of smut) then I highly recommend these books. Basically there are historical rom coms with a bit of cheese.
In Say Yes to the Marquess, we follow Clio, who has been engaged for eight years. Sick of waiting she has inherited her own castle and wants to start a brewery determined to call off her engagement and live her life to the fullest. Enter Rafe, her fiance's brother, determined to see Clio marry his brother (for his own agenda) so he offers to plan the wedding...
This book was fun, silly, cute and just an all-round good time. There were solid side characters, laugh out loud moments, and some "you go girl!" scenes. At this point, I am trash for anything Tessa Dare writes so I have to give this five stars out of pure enjoyment.
