Well, we’ve officially moved on from hilarious accounts of Anne’s antics to heart-rendering accounts of her young heart navigating love.  It makes her even more relatable, which I love. I think everyone can partially relate to the struggles of differentiating the romance of books from the love of real-life and friendship. I think that the romance in this book is my “textbook perfect” romance. From friends to lovers, with time spent on slowly growing to love the characters together, and focusing on the pure and the sweet instead of the sultry. The adoration they have for one another is simply my favorite. Also, I was not a fan of Phillipa in the beginning of the book, but I must admit that her character arc developed beautifully! I loved that she fell in love with a man whom she never would have pictured for herself.
