So this book wasn’t fully what i expected. It had an alpha male, and a twist to the office romance that I hadn’t seen before, giving new meaning to an unconventional love story.
It follows Dakota, and Samual- Sam who is taking over the business Dakota works in- and their shared past. There is huge amount of tension between them throughout the takeover. Sam can’t fire Dakota, because she’s under contract,- for a probational 6-month period- but makes her job a living hell. Will she push through- or will she end up quitting? And will their past draw them together, or push them further apart?
I loved the tension throughout the book, and reading of both points of views, and seeing not only their past, but their present play out. It was a great read that i enjoyed. I give it 4⭐ out of 5⭐. If you like unconventional love stories, than i would recommend this book.
