Not a book i would have usually picked up - it was a book for bookclub. 

Now, I don’t think this was a bad book at all, and I even debated 3 stars BUT it felt just like a family’s story. I didn’t get drawn in till about 300 pages, and I was waiting for
Alice and Williams conversation which she didn’t even give me!
When the book ended I thought there would be one more chapter and could at least feel satisfied. Instead I got to the last page and said “the f*ck”. 

Most things I found to be predicable too and it just wasn’t surprising,
minus Alice getting a tumour - but I knew someone was going to have an extra twist, just wasn’t sure who.
