This book would be great for a discussion group. So much to unpack and so many layers. However as a reader with no one to discuss, I just didn’t quite get this book. It read more like a memoir, otherwise why invent a character like the mom? Why never explain so many things (I love a book that doesn’t tie up loose ends, but this felt odd). I’m glad I read it, and I would read more by Senna.
