I like this one even better than the Lightning Thief actually, some very funny scenes and some more interesting ideas - though I can’t say much more on that point without giving things away. Riordan has a way of making the bizarre and nearly unapproachable aspect of mythology more approachable and more interesting - but most of all, more memorable.
