Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

5.0

Like many others have said, this should be required reading for everyone.
Mikki Kendall tears down mainstream feminism confidently and directly with these brilliant essays that shine the light on Black women and other marginalized communities' needs for equality. Coming from a place of privilege and generally surrounded by those in the cis/white/abled/educated sphere, this book was essential to further my education on feminism for ALL women.
