This is the second book I have read by this author and neither of the books have disappointed! A captivating story which sheds some light, through various separate storylines, into our “forgotten war”. It is very apparent that an incredible amount of time, energy and heart went into this book.
As a huge fan of Aviation history, I love the detail about the different aircraft used at the time. For any language not commonly used in civilian life, the author did an excellent job explaining the meaning of language used, technology present at the time and also historical tidbits throughout. The pictures were also nice to see and helpful in creating an idea of the people and the places that were discussed throughout.
