When I heard Jacqueline Wilson was writing a book for older readers I just knew I had to get my hands on a copy and reading this book reminded me of why I loved Jacqueline Wilson’s books whilst I was growing up.
However, even though it is for older readers, I could tell whilst reading that the writing style was still a bit young for me but I still enjoyed it.
I love the resilience of Laura and Nina’s character made me think of some of the girls I used to go to school with.
Overall, a good read and insight into what life was like for young mums in the 60’s
