Now THIS. THIS IS HOW YOU DO ENEMIES TO LOVERS. My GOD.
I adored Sweet Like Whiskey. It was swoon worthy. It was sweet. And it also made me SO damn curious about how this one would turn out since these two were hating on each other in the last book but that tension felt UNFFFF.
I've seen books where E2L is the main theme and yet they're done being enemies and onto the lovers part 10% in. NOPE. Emmy makes them WORK for it and my god I was so damn here for it. The rivalry they had going on was stuff of legends. How they would bicker and fight? It made me truly believe these two hated each other so when they finally gave into the tension?! YUUUS. Especially the DOMINATING?! This book was also super hilarious. A carrot!? REALLY?! 🤣🤣
My only gripe is I wish we'd been privy to the reason why the animosity started as it felt a bit rushed and tacked on to the end. I wish we'd seen it before or started it off that way so we fully went into this book realizing that one of them was actually hurt in the past instead of random hatred? I was just assuming it was do to one of them coming into a "claimed" town and starting another business, so to see why it started towards the last chapters, that felt a bit weird.
Also, I cannot WAIT for Remi's book. MY GOD. Someone please come and take care of this sweet precious baby.
