omg. i have never needed to finish reading a book so badly in my life. i actually stayed up later to read more of it (not finish it - i was sleepy), which i have never done before. it was quick-paced, but was still set out in a way that meant i could try to figure out the crime alongside Pippa (some of which i actually got right!). another thing i really liked but doesn't matter is that actual handwriting was used when a character wrote stuff down, rather than a handwriting-like font.
