The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

This book, of course, made me cry very hard. However, at this point, readers know to expect it to be sad. The story was incredibly well written, and the fact that both Addie and Henry were bi icons made it so much better. The characters were described really well, and each one was distinct and easy to picture in my head. I honestly did not know much about the ending before I started reading the book, other than it was sad. The end was kind of predictable, but not "Song of Achilles" predictable, and while the ending was sad, it was beautiful. The book ended in a way that made the outcomes of the characters feel less final, which I thought was really interesting. Overall, the book was sad and beautiful and now one of my favorites.
