Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

mysterious fast-paced

5.0

This is only the second book Agatha Christie book that I have ever read. Thank goodness that I have joined the Curious about Christie 2022 otherwise I may have taken even longer to discover what an amazing writer Agatha was!

A Murder on the Orient Express, what an amazing setting.

Even though this book was written nearly 80 years ago it was still a riveting read and I completely understand why Agatha Christie has the title of the Queen of Crime. A very clever who dunnit and as you turned the pages, and oh, what a page turner, you think that you had worked out who did it.  But only for a certain Belgian detective (Poirot) to uncover yet more clues and information that send you off on another plot twist. This kept me completely enthralled in the story and the fast-moving plot. The ending was a huge twist that I didn’t see coming. Great attention to detail in describing the train and the setting in Yugoslavia.

A highly recommend read.
