The Dinner by Herman Koch

1.0

I'm so sorry, this might just be me but, this was so boring. It's one of those books where the actual points are danced around until "just the right moment" and I couldn't stand it. For the longest time, it kept alluding to this "incident" or that Paul had "found something out" but we didn't get to find out until halfway through the book. It also bothered me: the sheer number of random flashbacks in the middle of him getting to the point. I felt like I spent the majority of this book bored and not knowing what was going on. This is described as a psychological thriller and it is neither.
