The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton
3.0
Warnings: Gruesome murders, babies killed, Threat of rape, and mention on torture.
Not as good as the first book. At the beginning, I kept putting it down and didn't feel like picking it back up again. But it got better as it went, and overall it was still an entertaining and quick read.
There were less vampires and Lycanthropes in this one, but we got to learn more about Anita's powers, which was cool. Other than voodoo and a mention of witchcraft, we don't get much additional world building though.
Anita has gotten stupider. If she'd just keep her mouth shut, it would solve half her problems! But no, she had to threaten the super scary, super powerful voodoo lady…
