Darkness of Dragons by Tui T. Sutherland

I don’t know what I think of this book honestly.
I was hyped for a Qibli POV though I knew it would be difficult to maintain throughout a whole book. But it didn’t feel like Qibli at all. Moon Rising emphasised that he’s the king of risk assessments but he made a lot of poorly thought out decisions for plot convenience.
Plus, I guessed Moon would get with Qibli, but it was really poorly done. I didn’t think either couple seemed like it was more likely to happen out of either of them based on relationships. Heck, since there’s a canon LGBT crush on the series now, Winter and Qibli had far more chemistry.
Plus, I don’t know how I feel about the fate of Darkstalker. It’s a bit too much like the Hailstorm situation I think, plus, while I know Kinkajou orchestrated it, and there’s the whole ‘how would there be a half-IceWing at this moment in time’ situation, it would’ve been more poignant for Peacemaker to be half-IceWing still.
But I LOVED the prologue and epilogue. Both were great. Though I was expecting more from Onyx and Icicle in this book.
I think this arc was a bit too over ambitious, but it still was a fun read and had its wholesome moments.
