The one good book I've read in a while. I have come across this on YouTube wherein a woman claimed that this is her favorite book of all time. I know that it's going to be cheesy and that it's YA -- which typically meant barf fest for me -- but surprisingly, this was good.
Nothing was overly sickening. The plot was light, predictable, and it felt like a literal movie. Nothing jumped out of the ordinary. It's something that you can read to feel good and relax your brain and just enjoy.
One of my biggest turn offs when reading YA novels is the insufferable writing. But this one was well-written. It communicated well and I loved the conversations between the characters. Hell, the characters were great and were actually acting and thinking like teens. The minor problems surrounding the plot were also light. There's not much drama and it was all valid.
All in all, it did what it was meant to do and for that it deserves a good rating.
PS I want to give this four stars, but now that I have thought about it, it feels like it's too much.
PPS This book kind of reminded me of The Duff movie for some reason.
