I always feel bad for people who do not read classics because they just do not get them. The fun is knowing that these stories are the foundation for the stories we know today, and are so grounded in their historical era.
The Turn of the Screw is textbook for the Victorian era. We have sexuality, classism, and the possible hysteria. What more could you ask for???
