To begin, this is a sequel to Fragile Things and it cannot be read independently. It picks up at the cliffhanger of the last book but absolutely nothing will make sense if they aren't read in order.
I wasn't as taken by the story as I was the first. Don't get me wrong, the whole story between Poe and Stella was great. I really enjoyed it. It just felt unnecessary for it to be split between two books. This book took me a while to finish because it felt slow and drawn out.
I really can't emphasize enough that this book wasn't bad, just not as good as the first. It's the 2nd book curse in a series. I completely intend to continue on with this series.
This book finished up Poe and Stella's story and introduced the next story's characters.
