A Netgalley read, and a debut one at that, which has taken me much too long to get to. Had I known how wonderful I would find this book, I would not have delayed.
This is historical fantasy, with a steampunk mystery feel. It reminded me a lot of Snowpiercer, with the train that is sealed off from the outside world, the class separation of passengers, and the crew working to ensure that everything is in Order. But it is, in my opinion, so much better, as the mystery of the Wastelands is slowly revealed. The ending was <i>"muah - chef's kiss"</i> good!
