I was so excited about Vintage by Isis Melantha. This is a captivating romantic thriller that starts off with great promise. The intricate use of superstitions and folklore creates an eerie atmosphere, and the dynamics between Amir and Amery are compelling. I thought this might be my first 5-star read of the year. However, in the second half, things began to falter, leading to confusion as the suspense unraveled too quickly, leaving loose ends. While novellas have limited space for development, the resolution could have been more effective. Still, it’s an engaging read with haunting twists worth exploring.
