This is a very dark book. Very rarely lately am I like, this book is very aptly named. This book goes to the edges of darkness for what a human can and will do to another human. It showcases what someone can do when they claim war. It astounded me at times, made me wince and gasp. A very thrilling read. I can't wait to start Light Bringer.
I greatly appreciate the different view points of the other characters. I was very saddened by certain deaths, and also happy about others. It will be interesting to see how this story continues to play out.
