Anger Is My Middle Name: A Memoir by Lisbeth Zornig Andersen, Mark Mussari

challenging dark emotional hopeful sad fast-paced

3.5

Lisbeth's story is so harrowing to read, but to see how she was able to begin challenging her past and using her experience to help other children is really inspiring. It's amazing how her outlook could change once she finally had the right support from the adults around her, but it's also a very raw example of the long-term effects these patterns of abuse can have. It's a heartbreaking story, but one where it's so important to learn the lessons from Lisbeth's experiences.
