”Light and darkness. Life and death. Where do I fit in?”
I really struggled to engage with this book. For a short little audiobook that I should have been able to listen to in one 4-hour sitting, I was surprised to find that it took me an entire week to plow through the whole thing, because I kept avoiding it.
I didn’t connect with any of the characters and I kept forgetting that the book had a plot. The world building was very shallow compared to other books in this genre and a lot of the story was predictable. It felt extremely YA (not my favorite) and honestly felt more like the prequel to a love triangle romance than anything else? Not really for me.
