 I’m not sure why I didn’t expect the animal cruelty in this book but it really was not for me - because of that but also in general. I didn’t hate this or anything, just didn’t particularly care to read about dogs getting whipped and the pay off of

Buck joining the wolf pack at the end

  was not worth it for me.  

Also kind of racist in places?
