Single dad baseball players? Sign me up. I’m a sucker for a single dad romance and have honestly been needing more baseball romances in my life. I love this sports world that Annah Conwell has created and I love the found family in this one because it’s a bit unique for a sports romance in my opinion. While Emmett did have a friend on his baseball team, his found family of athletes consisted of guys who played other sports and I thought that was so cool. And of course a sweet little connection for this whole series.

I really loved Hazel and I feel like she is relatable in so many ways. Hazel is a caretaker and always has been and has no desire to be a burden to anyone. So she tries to shoulder everything on her own. I loved how Emmett just laid it all out there and continued to show up and take care of her. When these two got together it was really sweet to watch Emmett let his walls down for her and treat her well and for Hazel to finally have someone she could lean on. I did feel like they got together pretty quickly. Like I felt like they went from barwly acknowledging their feelings to themselves to flirting with each other and basically dating. But their time together was really sweet and I loved Hazel’s dynamic with June.

I’m excited to read more of Annah’s work! Thank you so much for the ARC!
