This is dark. Horrifying in a way because you have to think, “is this a possibility for our future?” The way the author writes is very straight forward, almost in a narrator kind of style but it carries a grief, a harrowing undertone to it that makes you sympathize with the main character. A very fast read but one that leaves you questioning what you eat.
