Such a Good Family by Caitlin Weaver
4.0

What an emotionally gripping read!

I thought this book did a really good job at raising important issues, especially the topic of sexual assault. One of its strengths was the telling of the story in different characters' points of view. The different perspectives shown and the ramifications for each character made the story so compelling and complex, and I couldn't put the book down. I found myself thinking about how I would react in each person's shoes (Eden's character was not my favorite, but I couldn't help but think that some of my emotions would be similar to hers).

The depiction of the medical and legal aspects, the connection between the families, and the emotional toll on everyone involved was so well-written. I was invested the whole way through and really appreciated how much depth there was.

A wonderfully compelling debut!
