This is a book I was assigned to read at work. Brené Brown is very well-known for talking about common problems in workplaces. A big portion of the book focuses on the importance of being vulnerable in work settings and how to engage with that. I really enjoyed it at first but definitely felt like it stretched on for too long and by the end was pretty done lol. I think this book would be extremely useful to people stuck in corporate/traditional capitalistic mindsets and has a lot of really helpful data, suggestions, strategies, etc. For someone like me who is much more well-versed in these topics, I didn’t get a tremendous amount out of it but there were definitely some nuggets that I found useful/interesting. A great resource overall but not something I’d necessarily feel is required for folks who run in the kinds of circles I do/do the kind of work I do who, more likely than not, already know much of it already.
