Less than 100 pages in, I was falling in love with Canon and his BDE. Him and Neevah fighting to curb their mutual attraction ran parallel to the movie’s love story, making it feel like two stories in one. At times, the plot did feel like it was dragging due to the medical content, but I like how it tied everything together. This is something you have to take your time with to savor the depth, but I can easily see how this could be someone else’s favorite Kennedy Ryan book to date.
Graphic: Chronic illness and Medical content
Moderate: Sexual content
Minor: Racism, Vomit, and Death of parent
