People Will Talk by Kieran Scott
5.0
*Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for providing this book, with my honest review below*
Kieran Scott is definitely one to watch in this cross between chick lit and mystery (more the latter than the former). We follow the perspectives of Leanne, Maya, and Catherine as they try to clear their names and work through their pasts. I was frustrated by, but ended up loving, Catherine, was surprised by Maya, and admired Leanne. Who I didn’t love? Peter… definitely would have liked to see more accountability there.
This was a lighter read, and I enjoyed the women’s dynamics as well as the gradually deepening mystery. Exactly the kind of vacation book I’d recommend for those who love suspense and a mix of romance or for someone on the go who wants to pick this back up after a busy few days and not feel like they missed a beat.
Thank you again for the ARC, Gallery Books. It is much appreciated and I enjoyed the read and the opportunity to share my feedback.
