This book came to me from Once Upon a Book Club box, it's not something I would have ever picked up on my own. It took me 3 weeks to finish, because I just couldn't get into it. The writing style was great, I just felt that the book dragged in some areas, and lacked in others.
While I understand it takes place during the Holocaust, there are no real happy endings, just depressing, sad ones. Yes it's historical fiction, but I thought with all of the character development etc there might be something to look forward to, unfortunately, not so much.
