Tell Me Pretty Lies by Charleigh Rose

This book does not have enough of a concrete plot nor a solid backstory to make it substantial and read-worthy.

I would've liked this book if it started from the beginning of how the two main characters met. While reading this, I felt like I was reading the second book of a duet and not a standalone.

Sure, there were flashbacks, but they were few and far between for me to even be invested to any of these characters, much less the romance. In fact, I didn't feel any romance at all here.

I was irked with the heroine most of the time. She was very indecisive and easily swayed. The hero was also infuriating. The scenes between them were borderline repetitive to the point that they became annoying. It made the story shallow, to be honest.

I had hopes for this book and was anticipating its release, but after finishing it, I was honestly just very annoyed, bored, and ultimately unsatisfied.
