These Fables spinoff books have always been fascinating to me.
Just what about these stand alone stories are so worthy to be a part of canon on the definitive series that got me on my magical-meets-the-mundane kick?
On one hand, you could argue that it's giving more spotlight to several characters from the series proper that never got more attention. But HELLO?! CINDERELLA ALREADY HAD 2 BOOKS OF HER OWN!
It's not so bad really since part of the charm of the entirety of Fables is seeing where the characters you know from the fairy tales are doing now, and after we find out what happened to the girl with the glass-formerly-fur shoes, we find out what happened to other characters from her tale.
The short version?
They ain't doing so well.
I was a little confused when they showed one of the evil stepsisters with cyborg legs...then I remembered the version that AIN'T Disney and remembered her mutilated feet!

All in all, a decent globe-trotting action-spy adventure since that gives them more excuses to throw more international Fables into the mix, but slightly hampered by the fact the bad guy isn't caught since her comeuppance will come in the main storyline.
