Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
I can't rate it as it is unfair of me for such a well loved classic.
I DNF at chapter 9.
Sorry... I found myself in complete shock at my lack of enjoyment, care, or desire to continue. I truly expected to fly through these pages, I absolutely LOVE my classics, and I thought it was time to read some that passed me by over the years.
My biggest complaint, and the one I can not overcome, is that we have Nelly's biased storytelling. It is unreliable and frustrating for me as the reader. Beyond that, I'm sure it is a great story, I just have no compassion or attachment.
I hold off any further judgement. As I know, it's a me issue, and I still have the utmost respect for this classic.
