This book was overwhelmingly average and that might be one of the best things I can say about it? It wasn't un-enjoyable to read but it also wasn't enjoyable. The characters were boring and one-note. The plot could have been very interesting but I didn't think it was executed well. The writing was fine but nothing to write home about. I thought this would have been better if it just stuck to the historical plotline.
